VEIL.AI joins European tech consortium to power secure data collaboration for hospitals with EHDS-Compliant Platform

VEIL.AI has partnered with BC Platforms, Modirum Platforms, and Productivity Leap to develop an AI-enhanced, end-to-end platform tailored for healthcare organizations, such as hospitals. This platform aims to streamline compliance with the European Health Data Space secondary (EHDS2) framework, ensuring secure cross-border data collaboration while meeting strict privacy regulations.

The consortium’s reference architecture, developed through the combined expertise of VEIL.AI and its partners, is designed to facilitate secure data exploration, analytics, and collaboration across borders, addressing critical needs in healthcare data management for data privacy, standardization, and automated handling processes under EHDS guidelines.

The platform integrates VEIL.AI’s next-generation anonymization technology, which allows data to be anonymized while preserving essential relationships, ensuring robust privacy while maintaining data utility for research.  “Under EHDS regulations, unless there are valid reasons to provide pseudonymized data, data must be released in anonymized form. Our AI-enhanced technology helps retain key data relationships even in anonymized formats, enabling seamless cross-European data collaboration,” said Tuomo Pentikäinen, CEO of VEIL.AI.

Following the implementation of EHDS, there is expected to be a significant increase in data requests across Europe. VEIL.AI’s participation in the consortium will enable the company to expand its presence in the European healthcare market and establish itself as a leader in data anonymization. The platform the consortium is building aims to help hospitals and data providers handle the increasing volume of data queries through automated, EHDS-compliant workflows, making data access faster and more secure for research and AI initiatives without compromising data quality.

VEIL.AI’s next-generation anonymization technology is central to the consortium’s mission to meet the EHDS2 requirements. By joining forces, VEIL.AI and its partners aim to make this platform a pivotal solution in the digital transformation of healthcare data, empowering institutions to safely and efficiently leverage real-world data for advanced research and innovation.
