VEIL.AI was one of four winners at the Health-X dataLOFT Innovation and Fellowship Competition, and will further develop the VEIL.AI Anonymization Engine with Health-X
VEIL.AI participated in the Health-X dataLOFT Innovation and Fellowship Prize Competition in May, and was one of four winners with a prize of 25,000€ and the opportunity to further develop the integration the VEIL.AI Anonymization Engine into the Health-X dataLOFT platform.
Health-X dataLOFT is the flagship project of Health-X, a consortium of 14 research, supply, and industry partners focusing on secure digitalization of health data and sovereignty over personal health data. The Health-X dataLOFT platform is a joint cloud platform for the healthcare sector that aims to create a common data space where citizens can share their health data from the secondary healthcare market, like smartwatch and other consumer devices, with doctors, clinics, and researchers in a legal and secure way.
With the preliminary approval of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulation in the EU, the Health-X dataLOFT project is now aiming to develop a suitable technology stack for EHDS. VEIL.AI Anonymization Engine, which produces extremely high-quality anonymized data, could be an excellent addition to the Health-X dataLOFT technology stack by enabling secure sharing of sensitive health data in a GDPR-compliant manner.
The Innovation and Fellowship Competition invited innovators to pitch the integration of their technology or service into the Health-X dataLOFT platform. The competition is carried out in two phases, with an initial competition in May and a second phase in September where the round one winners will present their work and compete for further funding and opportunities to develop the integration of their service into the Health-X dataLOFT platform.
With the Fellowship Prize, VEIL.AI will develop a concrete concept and detailed design for the integration of the VEIL.AI Anonymization Engine into the Health-X dataLOFT platform. We look forward to showing the finished results at the second phase of the competition in September!
